At the call of the Mayor, Kirkland Lake will host its first ever Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers, located at 3 Kirkland St. W., Kirkland Lake, ON.
This two-hour Town Hall will be open to all members of the public and will provide an opportunity for presentations on any and all matters that fall within the jurisdiction of the municipality, including the upcoming 2026 Mayor’s Budget.
Although not a statutory requirement of Council, these meetings are offered as an added opportunity for dialogue with the community.
How to Participate
- No registration is required for in-person participation.
- Each participant may speak for up to three (3) minutes.
- Participants are encouraged to read Section 7: Town Hall Meeting Provisions and Section 12 of Council’ Procedure By-Law which sets out the parameters for the rules of conduct (decorum).
- Members of the public who are unable to participate in person or virtually can make written submissions to the Clerk, which will be circulated to Council and read by the Presiding Office at the Meeting.
- Participants wanting to attend virtually will need to contact the Municipal Clerk at [email protected] to provide a brief outline of their presentation.
Livestream Options
The Town Hall Meeting will be livestreamed on the Town’s YouTube channel and will be available for viewing on the Town’s Facebook page.
