How does it work?

The Joe Mavrinac Community Complex, volunteers and the Kirkland Lake Cross Country Ski Runners work in partnership to provide groomed trails and free snowshoe and cross country ski use. This means residents and visitors are allowed to borrow the equipment, and then access the groomed trails at no cost! Our equipment includes a large variety of sizes from kids size 1 boots to mens size 14 boots. We also classic cross country skis, skate skis and snowshoes.

Large group use?

If you are planning to have more than six people in your group we ask that you please call 705-567-5215 and give our front desk staff information on the date, number and time your group will be here. This will ensure we have enough skis or snowshoes available.

The complex offers free one-hour cross country ski or snowshoe guide for school groups or non-profits groups. If interested, please call 705-567-5215 and ask for Kimberly to determine availability.
