June Simpson:
Long-time painter and Kirkland Lake Arts Club member June Simpson has released a nostalgia print series & book. The series includes watercolour prints of the Toburn Mine, Lake Shore Arena, Sir Harry Oakes Chateau, Bellevue Tavern, KLCVI, LaSalle Theatre, Queen Elizabeth Public School, Teck Hughes Overpass, Strand Theatre, Charlie's Hotel, United Church, Russian Orthodox Church, and Holy Name Church.
Bill Glover Books:
Local author Bill Glover has five books currently for sale in the Gift Shop, The 50 50 Club, Friends of a Mad Miner, Tales of a Mad Miner, Rantings of a Mad Miner, and his most recent work Gold for a Mad Miner printed for the Town's Centennial in 2019. His Mad Miner series features many local characters and colourful stories of mining in and around Kirkland Lake. They are a must read for those with a close connection to KL.
Slice of the North:
A collection of handcrafted jewelry made from genuine diamond drilled core samples. Each slice is a unique and original mini work of art created by Matachewan artist Wendy Standwick. All pieces are wrapped in sterling silver, some are double sided.
Twisted and Bent:
Local jewelry artist Susan Hartling's unique "Twisted and Bent" pieces are also in the Gift Shop. Her collection includes a variety of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. The vibrant colours, different styles and sizes means there is something for everyone.
Contemporary Art Committee:
The Contemporary Art Committee is a local Art Group that hosts an annual regional and international art exhibition and also hosts an annual Art Gala. In recent years, they have created many unique ceramic art works. They currently have a series of one-of-a-kind ceramic masks for sale.
The Museum Auxiliary:
In preparation for the the Town's Centennial in 2019, the Auxiliary had the Town of Kirkland Lake's Tartan officially registered with the Scottish Registar of Tartans. Since then they have ordered Tartan Scarves and Blankets which are for sale in the Gift Shop, along with Tartan T-Shirts and Tartan/Kirkland Lake baseball caps made locally.
Stein Haven Farms:
Stein Haven Farms is a regional farm out of Ramore, Ontario. They produce environmentally friendly soaps, oils, candles, and other products on their Heritage based farm.
