MEDIA RELEASE - FLAGS AT HALF MAST IN HONOUR OF PATRICK (PAT) ALLISON

The Town recognizes with great sadness the passing of former Fire Chief for Kirkland Lake and area, Patrick (Pat) Allison. Pat was a man of humanity and joy whose contribution to our community for 32 years will be missed by many. Pat started with the Kirkland Lake Fire Service on April 21st, 1975, became Fire Chief on September 6th, 1997 and Retired as Chief on March 3rd, 2007.
Flags will remain at half-mast at Town-managed facilities until Tuesday in Pat’s honour.
On behalf of the Town, Mayor Stacy Wight provides the following message to residents and to those in mourning: “The Town is deeply saddened by Pat’s passing. His contribution to the Town and community will forever be admired and appreciated. On behalf of the Town of Kirkland Lake Council and all Staff, we offer our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.”
