  • TPR Community Representative for Committee of Management
    The Teck Pioneer Residence requires two Community Representatives for the Committee of Management. Interested persons are invited to submit a confidential letter of application and resume by mail, fax or email.
    The Town of Kirkland Lake is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to assess the feasibility and environmental impacts of the decommissioning of the existing Swastika Water Pollution Control Plant and pumping sewage flows to the newly constructed Kirkland Lake Waste Water Treatment Plant. The study is being undertaken in accordance with the requirements for Schedule ‘B’ projects within the Municipal Class EA document (2000, as amended in 2015) approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

    Council of the Town of Kirkland Lake is pleased to welcome Peter Avgoustis to Kirkland Lake as the new Chief Administrative Officer for the Town.

    Mr. Avgoustis has worked in the municipal field since 1998, most recently with the City of Guelph in a number of management positions.

    In 2015, Mr. Avgoustis left work to attend the University of Western Ontario, achieving his Masters in Public Administration.

    Mayor Antoniazzi says, ‘The interview committee was collectively impressed with Peter’s credentials. His high positive energy will make him a great fit for our community. We look forward to introducing Peter Avgoustis to all of the people with whom we work and live.

    Council will be setting a start date in the near future.
